What are NC, CPV, EORI, CAEN, COR codes?

NC code

The NC code is the tariff item, the tariff sub-item or the tariff code, as provided in Regulation (EEC) no. 2.658/87 of the Council of July 23, 1987 regarding the Tariff and Statistical Nomenclature and the Common Customs Tariff, as amended by the Implementing Regulation (EU) no. 1.101/2014 of the Commission of October 16, 2014. When there are changes in the Combined Nomenclature, correspondence is made between the NC codes provided in this order and the new codes in the nomenclature adopted pursuant to art. 12 of Regulation (EEC) no. 2.658/87 of the Council of July 23, 1987 regarding the Tariff and Statistical Nomenclature and the Common Customs Tariff.

These codes are used for customs operations, for Intrastat declarations and for operations with excisable products, as the case may be.

Starting from July 1, 2022, for RO e-Invoice and RO e-Transport, the goods from the following lists must be declared:

RO e-Transport list

Vegetables, plants, roots and tubers, food, falling within CN codes from 0701 to 0714 inclusive Edible fruits; peel of citrus fruits or melons, falling within CN codes 0801 to 0814 inclusive Beverages, alcoholic liquids and vinegar, falling under CN codes 2201 to 2208 inclusive Salt; sulfur; soils and stones; plaster, lime and cement, which fall under NC codes 2505 and 2517 Knitted or crocheted clothing and clothing accessories falling within CN codes 6101 to 6117 inclusive Clothing and clothing accessories, other than knitted or crocheted, falling within CN codes 6201 to 6212 inclusive and CN codes 6214 to 6217 inclusive Footwear, gaiters and similar articles; parts of these articles falling within CN codes 6401 to 6405 inclusive Cast iron, iron and steel, which falls under NC codes 7213 and 7214 RO e-Invoice list

The new constructions are those mentioned in art. 292 para. (2) lit. f) from Law no. 227/2015 regarding the Fiscal Code, with subsequent amendments and additions.

  • CODE NC 6402 – Other footwear with rubber or plastic outer soles and uppers
  • CODE NC 6403 – Footwear with outer soles made of rubber, plastic material, natural or reconstructed leather and with natural leather uppers
  • CODE NC 6404 – Footwear with outer soles made of rubber, plastic material, natural or reconstituted leather and with uppers made of textile materials
  • CODE NC 6405 – Other footwear
  • CODE NC 6101 – Coats, shorts, capes, sweatshirts, blouses and similar articles, knitted or crocheted, for men or boys, with the exception of articles of heading 6103
  • CODE NC 6102 – Coats, shorts, capes, sweatshirts, blouses and similar articles, knitted or crocheted, for women or girls, with the exception of articles from heading 6104
  • CODE NC 6103 – Men's or boys' suits or suits, ensembles, jackets, jackets, trousers, bib overalls, shorts and overalls (other than swimwear), knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6104 – Women's or girls' suits, ensembles, jackets, jackets, dresses, skirts, skirt-trousers, trousers, bib overalls, shorts and overalls (other than bathing suits), knitted or crocheted 6105 – Shirts and blouses, knitted or crocheted, for men or boys

  • CODE NC 6109 – T-shirts, blouses and tank tops, knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6110 – Sweaters, pullovers, cardigans and similar articles, waistcoats and similar articles, including thin knitwear worn under sweaters, knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6111 – Clothing and clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted, for infants
  • CODE NC 6112 – Tracksuits, overalls and ski suits and suits, panties and bathing briefs, knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6113 – Clothing made from knitted or crocheted materials of headings 5903, 5906 or 5907
  • CODE NC 6114 – Other articles of clothing made of knitted or crocheted materials
  • CODE NC 6115 – Pantyhose, tights, stockings, socks and other similar articles, including stockings with progressive compression (for example, for varicose veins) and shoes without applied soles, knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6116 – Gloves, mittens and gloves with one finger, knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6117 – Other accessories made of clothing, knitted or crocheted; parts of clothing or clothing accessories, knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6201 – Coats, shorts, capes, sweatshirts (including ski jackets), windbreakers and other similar articles, for men or boys, with the exception of articles from heading 6203
  • CODE NC 6202 – Coats, shorts, capes, sweatshirts (including ski jackets), windbreakers and similar articles, for women or girls, with the exception of articles from heading 6204
  • CODE NC 6203 – Men's or boys' suits or suits, ensembles, jackets, jackets, trousers, bib overalls, shorts and suits (other than bathing suits)

  • CODE NC 6212 – Bras, bras, corsets, suspenders, suspenders, garters and similar articles and parts thereof, whether or not knitted or crocheted
  • CODE NC 6214 – Shawls, scarves, shawls, mantles, veils, veils and similar articles
  • CODE NC 6215 – Ties, bow ties and neckerchiefs
  • CODE NC 6216 – Gloves, mittens and gloves with one finger

CPV code

CPV is the reference nomenclature in the field of public procurement, adopted by Regulation (EC) no. 2.195/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of November 5, 2002 regarding the Common Vocabulary regarding public procurement (CPV).

EORI code

EORI - is an identification number of economic operators and natural persons on the territory of the European Union that carry out import-export operations. A company that imports/exports goods will need such an EORI code

CAEN code

CAEN - is an acronym for Classification of Activities in the National Economy and is a national statistical classification of economic activities in Romania. Through the establishment by each entity of the CAEN with which it operates, statistics can be made at the national level regarding the activity of the companies.

COR code

COR (Classification is Occupations from Romania) is a 6-character code attributed to each employee, it is mentioned in the employment contract and reflects the type of activity carried out by him at the employer. This COR code is declared and registered in REVISAL once the employment contracts are registered.
